This post marks the beginning of our new “Guest Weekly Picks" series where we will be inviting a special guest to compile their own concert picks each week as well as asking them a host of relevant and irrelevant questions. Our inaugural guest, Ian McCarthy, has appeared on the Foundwaves Weekly Picks List list several times as a member of Conservative Man. With Conservative Man currently on what is hopefully only a temporary hiatus, Ian has turned his attention to his new band Dirty Bombs, featuring Jason Dunn (The Luxury), Ryan Magnasco, (The Televandals) and Nick Post (Televandals).

Why do you play music – sure "sex, drugs, and rock and roll" – but seriously, that aside, why make music?
Because I have no other choice.

I swore an oath to myself a while ago that I would never tell the truth again. I haven’t. What question should we ask next week’s guest?
