Thursday, April 15 at Great Scott

On Radio Moscow’s latest release, Brain Cycles, the group funnels its raucous energy into a rousing album of distorted precision. Kicking off songs like “Broke Down” with bluesy guitar licks and toms fired off like gunshots, the hard-rocking Radio Moscow captivates with a sound that feels trippy and a little bit dangerous. Another stand-out track, the kaleidoscopic “Hold on Me” would make an apt soundtrack for an acid-induced montage, creating a freewheeling density that slips your world to the side and multiplies it.

Check out the Iowa-based band’s music video for “Mistreating Queen”, which was filmed at a horse sale barn in their hometown, and catch their live show when they play the Great Scott this Thursday, April 15.
